Two sessions available:

Thursday, Nov 19 · 1:00–2:00pm · Room 815C

Friday, Nov 20 · 10:00–11:00am · Room 815C

Event will be recorded and made available via YouTube and LinkedIn.

What you'll walk away with:

Know your own signal. What makes a project yours, not something anyone else could have built. The same self-knowledge makes you better at designing for other people, because you can tell your own needs and blind spots from your users'.

Read the room you're walking into.An interview goes both ways. Learn to see what a hiring team is missing, and to show depth and range inside one project instead of thin breadth across many.

Stay in the game long enough to win.Rejection is common and can hit harder than you expect. Boundaries, self-care and burnout awareness are part of how a design career lasts for decades, along with making steady room to close gaps in your skills.

Thursday, Nov 19, 8:30–10:00am.

Book a 15-minute slot with Aaron (room 815D) or with Amara (room 815C), in person or on Zoom/Google Meet.

Bring something specific: a portfolio piece, an interview question, or how you're balancing school and everything else. Please limit class assignment questions to 1:1 with Amara.

Talk to Aaron or Amara 1:1

Ask about getting hired, portfolios, interviewing, or life as a design student: managing your time, juggling commitments, handling rejection.

Questions due Sunday, Nov 15. Aaron will record answers.

Amara and Aaron will make the full recording available via YouTube and LinkedIn.
